It's finally here!  That big comic that I had teased with my earlier upload, Battle of the Generations.  It's Sinnoh versus Kalos, two champion teams in an epic clash to determine who is the victor!

Like I always try to do so, I tried out some new things here.  One such example would be in the editing room: the split "reaction shot" panel with Gaius the Torterra and Galahad the Gardevoir, showing two things happening simultaneously in such a way that the reader's eye sees both at the same time.  It was also fun playing around with different props and effects to recreate some Pokemon moves, such as Giga Drain, though I think the Combine energy ball may have overstayed its welcome.

Given the brief appearances of each Pokemon, I also hoped to capture (my headcanon of) each Pokemon's personality and traits.  This includes Venus the Milotic's pride in her perfect special defense IVs; Ares the Magmortar being a loud-mouthed jerk; Turaga the Marowak being very defensive of his teammates; and Solaria the Charizard's general large hamminess

The part with Galahad trying to use Thunderbolt on Solaria is actually based on what happened during my playthrough of X.  During the champion battle, I knew that Diantha's Mega Gardevoir would use Thunderbolt on Solaria.  Therefore, in a gamble, I decided to Mega Evolve Solaria on that turn, turning her electric weakness into an electric resistance, and then finish off the Mega Gardevoir with a Shadow Claw.  Fortunately, it worked.

And despite how many hours went into making this lengthy comic (clocking in at 34 panels), it's still not finished.  I don't know when Part 2 is coming, but it will feature the scene that was the main inspiration for making this comic.  Depending on how quickly things resolve, there may be one or two more parts after that.  Like before, if you know where to look, you can see foreshadowing for what's coming next...
