And so, 2016 draws to a close, bringing with it the 20th anniversary of Pokemon.  I still haven't picked up either of the Generation VII games, so I'm still on Platinum and X for now.  So, why not bring them together?

Here, my Platinum and X teams encounter one another on the snowy hills of Mount Silver.  What better way to say "hello" to one another than to battle?  On the left, hailing from Sinnoh, we have Gaius the Torterra, Galahad the Gardevoir, Ares the Magmortar, Charon the Scizor, Glaedriel the Dragonite, and Venus the Milotic!  On the right, representing Kalos, we have Sheikah the Greninja, Solaria the Charizard, Excalibur the Aegislash, Anubis the Lucario, and Augustus the Alakazam!  Two champion teams clash!  Who will win?  Let's grab some jelly-filled donuts, sit back, and find out!

And we will be seeing how this battle turns out, in a comic that I'm working on that will be finished at a later date; I just wanted to make sure I got this big battle scene published before the end of the year.  If you look very carefully, you might notice some pixels that hint at the direction this comic will go...

I had been holding out for GMod ports of Vivillon and Gogoat, which I would likely have included here as X representatives in lieu of Aegislash (which is a real pain in the neck to pose) and Alakazam.  I also would've liked to include Staraptor and Quagsire on the Platinum team, probably in the place of Dragonite and Milotic.  Unfortunately, none of these four mons are in GMod or SFM yet, and with the new release of Gen VII, it's likely going to be a while before porters get back to work on these old mons again.

Played around with camerawork here, trying to get closer to the action than I'm normally comfortable with.  I hope this made the end result feel more dynamic.
